Prize Process

EdVestors invites all eligible Boston Public Schools to complete a School on the Move Prize Round 1 application to provide a snapshot of their story of improvement over the past three to five years. The EdVestors team will review applications using a rubric and invite a set of semi-finalist schools to tell a more comprehensive story of their improvement by submitting a Round 2 application. From the semi-finalist applications, three finalist schools will be selected and visited by the School on the Move Panel in early Fall 2026. The three finalist schools will be celebrated, and the winning school will be announced on November 10th at the School on the Move Prize Ceremony.

Eligibility

All Boston Public Schools serving students in grades K0-12 who have not been Prize winners in the past 5 years (2021-2025) are eligible to apply.

Timeline

February - March: Round 1 application office hours - sign up here.
March 3: Nominate a school you admire he r e.
April 2 by 5pm EDT: Round 1 submissions due. Access the Round 1 application here.
Week of April 27: Semifinalist schools invited to apply for Round 2. Application forthcoming.
May 27 by 5pm EDT: Round 2 submissions due (Semifinalist schools only)
August: Finalist schools selected and notified (up to 3 schoools)
Early October: Finalist school visits.
November 10: School on the Move Prize Ceremony; winner announced.
