Reporting to the Vice President of Programs, Strategy & Impact, the Director will serve as a key program leader as EdVestors refines and evolves its role as a partner in ensuring students receive a meaningful math education that is affirming, relevant, and prepares them for postsecondary success.

Responsibilities:
Planning and Implementation
- Drive all aspects of the mathematics program strategy including program iterations and overall strategic direction
- Ensure that all aspects of mathematics program work reflect a commitment to equity, including racial equity
- Manage the day-to-day aspects of the mathematics work, including planning and facilitating team meetings, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing regular updates of progress toward program goals
- Oversee collection, analysis, and presentation of program data to internal and external stakeholder audiences
- Supervise and coach staff and/or external consultants to support implementation efforts
- Engage a diverse set of stakeholders (e.g., educators, school leaders, district leaders, community partners, students, families, etc.) to inform planning and decision making around strategy, grant making, and program development
- Identify impact opportunities aligned with EdVestors’ mission and strategic priorities, grounded in research and data
Grant Making
- Facilitate the design and implementation of existing and new grant initiatives
- In partnership with the Manager of School-Based Investments, administer grant selection processes, including internal and/or external review teams
- Engage with individual math educators and educator cohorts to support progress toward program goals (e.g., coaching calls, school/class observations, meeting facilitation, resource sharing, planning support, etc.)
- Monitor funded projects through reports, site visits, and progress updates from grantees
External Relations
- Partner with mathematics leaders from BPS and other key stakeholders to realize a district-wide vision for equitable mathematics practices and outcomes
- Facilitate field building activities to build a coordinated and effective mathematics ecosystem in Boston
- Manage a communications and outreach strategy to build broad ownership and understanding of the importance of mathematics education
- Manage biannual Math Advisory Board meetings and other opportunities to engage stakeholders
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships including schools, higher education institutions, community partners, and funders
- Represent EdVestors at external meetings, events, and speaking engagements where applicable
Management and Organizational Development
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to advance program and organizational priorities
- Initiate, organize, and participate in team and staff activities that contribute to organizational culture around equity, staff development, and more
- Develop and oversee the annual program budget in consultation with the Director of Finance & Operations and VP of Programs, Strategy & Impact
- Contribute to fundraising strategies and efforts related to mathematics and support development efforts in the submission of funding proposals and reports to donors
- Support programmatic aspects of education events several times per year
- Other program tasks and projects as needed/assigned
