EdVestors annual Urban Education Investment Showcase is an innovative and interactive event at which prospective donors review a carefully-selected, high-impact cadre of urban education initiatives from Boston and Lowell.

The Showcase is a private event open to pre-registered donors and invited guests. Join other education-minded donors and foundations to identify solid investment opportunities in urban schools by contacting us.

Attend
Register to attend EdVestors 6th Annual Urban Education Investment Showcase (April 10, 2008). Participating donors can be individuals, family foundations, giving circles, or other allied individuals. The Showcase is a private, half-day event, open only to pre-registered donors and other invited guests. To register, please contact us.

Review application summaries and analysis prepared by EdVestors. Ask the finalists questions following their presentation at the Showcase.

Select
Identify your favorite finalists, review in-depth material prepared by EdVestors, arrange a grant confirmation meeting or site visit, or request other technical assistance as needed.

Give
Make grants between $5,000 and $150,000 to one or more schools or initiatives. EdVestors provides follow-up of all funded initiatives to monitor outcomes, and to share lessons learned across all donors and grantees. Participating donors support this cooperative due diligence model with a matching, tax-deductible grant to EdVestors.

Over a three-year period, eight different private investors recruited and assisted by EdVestors have invested over $140,000 in a school-driven improvement initiative at this regular district middle school in Charlestown. At the time of the initial donor investment, the Edwards was one of the lowest-performing district middle schools, particularly in math.
