How investments are selected

With a reputation for rigorous due diligence, EdVestors provides the coordinated outreach, due diligence, education expertise and follow-up, so that investors may direct grants to a cadre of high-quality, carefully selected urban school improvement initiatives.

To identify top finalists for the Urban Education Investment Showcase and the EdVestors Collaborative Fund, EdVestors convenes a diverse, all-volunteer Education Review Panel, including frontline educators and principals, nonprofit and business leaders, and philanthropists.

EdVestors staff provides considerable technical assistance to school and nonprofit leaders to help articulate their improvement plans - particularly for those new to seeking private investment. EdVestors filters more than 100 concept papers in order to select top finalists for the annual Showcase and Collaborative Fund.
