"EdVestors has challenged the Boston Public Schools to look for the best, showcase the best, and search for the best ways to ensure that quality is spread across the District for every single student in every school."
- Superintendent Carol R. Johnson, Boston Public Schools
EdVestors serves as a catalyst for change in urban schools by identifying and shaping the most effective improvement initiatives, partnering with donors to invest in these efforts, and supporting education project leaders with our hands-on expertise. In addition to stimulating private philanthropic investment, EdVestors serves as the driving force behind multiple reform initiatives in urban schools in order to level the playing field of opportunity and achievement for Boston's students.
Since its launch in 2002 by a group of philanthropists and business leaders led by co-founders Philip H. Gordon and Michael Douvadjian, EdVestors has directed more than $12 million to strategic school improvement efforts in Boston and Lowell, MA.
