Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives
Marinell Rousmaniere oversees the work of BPS Arts Expansion, the Improving Schools Initiative, and Zeroing in on Math. She also evaluates new opportunities for EdVestors as Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives. Marinell brings more than 15 years of experience working in youth development and education in both the public and nonprofit sectors. She previously served as Executive Director of mytown, inc., a nonprofit focused on connecting Boston teenagers to the city’s diverse history, and served as a senior staff member in former Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s first-in-the-nation mayoral initiative aimed at increasing the number and quality of after-school activities for youth. Currently, Marinell is a member of the Boston Public Schools Quality Working Group.
A graduate of Connecticut College, Marinell also holds an MBA in public and nonprofit management from Boston University. She resides in Hyde Park with her husband and two children who attend Boston Public Schools.
